This is the vacuum I'm currently using in my home: Shark HV370C Rocket Pro Corded Stick Vacuum. There is a cordless option if that's what you prefer - but I find the corded one more convenient. Mainly because if I pick up the vacuum and it happens to not be charged at that exact moment, I'll avoid vacuuming for the day (maybe a week, maybe a month). I don't know what it is - but those micro-moments of inconvenience cause a lasting effect on me. I start thinking of that item as forever inconvenient. Wondering if anyone can relate to this very particular vacuuming dilemma or if it's just me. Anyhow, that's why I go with the corded option - pick it up, plug it in, turn it on, and get the job done.

The best demo for this vacuum would be in a seemingly 'clean' home. It's amazing the particles it will collect that did not look like were there (Demo coming soon). It's amazing the amount of dust/pet hair/crumbs you can see collected from an area that looked pretty clean to begin within the container of this vacuum. It also has an LED light that helps you see the dust and hair in the less visible spots so you know what you're cleaning and if it's being picked up as you go.
Here are the 3 main reasons I chose this vacuum over other options:
1. I have 2 cats and a severe cat allergy. It REALLY picks up the cat hair & dander from deep in the area rugs/sofa/cushions when I vacuum.
2. It's quite light. It's easy to carry around the house, maneuvers easily around furniture, and doesn't require a lot of effort to remove and re-attach the parts (e.g the dust cup for emptying)
3. It makes the entire vacuuming experience convenient. There's no battery charge to worry about, no constant filter changes, and the dust cup is full to worry about (the dust cup is quite large so it can pick up a lot before it needs to be emptied) and it stores VERY easily when it needs to be put away. The handle detaches and can sit on top of the base so it doesn't tip easily. Even with a toddler, 2 cats & cat zoomies, it stays put.
There are LOTS of options for stick vacuums out there (and I've tried a lot of them for my house and my cleaning company) but this one has been the most non-problematic. If you don't want to be thinking about vacuuming any more than necessary daily, this is a really good option.
